An old centre, a newer village

Byfleet has a Grade I listed church, St Mary the Virgin, and a conservation area covering its historic centre, but the village grew considerably after the Brooklands motor racing circuit opened just to its north in 1907. About 8,000 people live in some 3,300 households. Where Byfleet sits

West Byfleet lies to the west, across the M25 and the Wey Navigation, and St George’s Hill in Weybridge adjoins the village to the north-east. Addlestone is up the A318. Byfleet and New Haw station, just north of the village, has trains to Waterloo, Guildford, Woking and Aldershot, and local buses link Byfleet with Woking.
