When a deep clean makes sense

Sometimes a regular clean is not enough. A deep clean is for properties that need considerably more attention, for example:

  • a home that has not been professionally cleaned for a while
  • getting ready for guests or a special occasion
  • bringing a property up to standard before regular cleaning starts
  • areas that need more than normal upkeep

We do this work for households and businesses across Woking and the wider Surrey area.

One-off, spring and deep cleans

One-off, spring, deep, move-in and after-party cleans are all charged at the same hourly rate, shown in the prices table below. A deep clean is for a home that needs considerably more attention than a one-off or spring clean, and a spring clean can turn out to need a deep clean.

One-off clean

A thorough clean of every room: bathrooms scrubbed, kitchen appliances wiped and polished, everything dusted and vacuumed and floors mopped. Windows are not included in a one-off clean. It is useful after the winter or before an event.

Spring cleaning

The traditional big clean, which you can book at any time of year. We dust, vacuum and mop throughout and pay special attention to neglected areas, following your list of priorities.

  • Bathrooms: toilets scrubbed, soap scum and mildew removed from the shower, floors washed, and taps, sinks and mirrors polished.
  • Kitchen: cupboard fronts wiped, kitchen gadgets sanitised, and worktops, sink and floor cleaned. A thorough clean of the hob, cooker hood, oven, microwave and fridge can be added for an extra fee.
  • Bedrooms: cobwebs removed, surfaces dusted and wiped, then skirting boards and floors. Blind cleaning is usually added as an extra.
  • Living room: surfaces, furniture and floors dusted and cleaned.

Window cleaning can be added when the job needs it; not every window is included, so ask. Other extras can be added to a spring clean too: oven cleaning and carpet and upholstery cleaning.

Move-in cleaning

Before you unpack in a new home, we clean the kitchen and bathrooms thoroughly, clean inside cupboards and drawers, dust, spot clean the walls, and vacuum and mop the floors. Ask us if you would like the windows washed as well.

After-party cleaning

We take the rubbish out, wash up, tidy the rooms and clean the bathrooms, and deal with spills or stains on carpets and upholstery. For marks that need a machine, see carpet cleaning.

After-builders cleaning

Building, renovation and decorating work leaves dust, dirt and residue that take far more work than a normal clean. The cost depends on the size of the property, how much dust and residue there is and the level of cleaning needed. Prices are below.

What a house clean covers

The room-by-room list below takes in the whole home: a careful bathroom clean, the outside of the kitchen appliances, every room dusted and vacuumed and the floors mopped. Tasks marked “if prioritised” are done when they are on your priority list.

Questions about one-off, spring and deep cleans

When should I book a spring clean?

Whenever suits you. Some people like a fresh start in January, once the Christmas decorations are packed away. We take spring clean bookings all year round.

What is included in a spring clean?

Every room is dusted, vacuumed, mopped and scrubbed, with extra attention on the kitchen and bathrooms. The lists above show what each room includes.

How much is a one-off, spring or deep clean?

They are all charged at the same hourly rate, shown in the prices table above. Move-in and after-party cleans are charged at that rate too.

How is a deep clean different from a one-off or spring clean?

A deep clean is for a home that needs considerably more attention, such as one that has not been professionally cleaned for a while or is being brought up to standard before regular cleaning starts. A spring clean can turn out to need a deep clean. If you are not sure which you need, describe the home when you ask for a quote.

How is a deep clean different from a regular clean?

A regular visit keeps a home in order. A deep clean is a longer, one-off visit for a home that needs considerably more attention, and it often comes before regular visits start. For weekly or fortnightly visits, see domestic cleaning.
