Getting a cleaning quote in Woking is easier when you know what to tell the cleaning company and what to ask in return. Whether you need weekly house cleaning, a one-off deep clean or help with an office, a good quote explains the work, the price and the arrangements before anyone arrives.
The seven steps below will help you get a quote you can rely on and compare it fairly with others. When you are ready, you can request a quote online in four short steps.
1. Choose the right service
Start with the type of cleaning you need, because it decides how the price is worked out:
- Domestic cleaning: planned visits, weekly, fortnightly or monthly, to keep a lived-in home on top.
- Deep cleaning: more time on built-up dirt and the details a regular visit does not reach.
- End of tenancy cleaning: for tenants, landlords and letting agents when a property changes hands.
- After-builders cleaning: dust and residue removed after building, renovation or decorating work.
- Carpet cleaning and oven cleaning: booked on their own or added to another clean.
- Office cleaning: regular or one-off cleaning planned around your working hours.
If the home needs a proper reset, say so rather than asking for a regular clean because its hourly rate looks lower. A regular visit is planned for upkeep, so it may not get through a backlog in the time booked. Not sure which service fits? Describe the property and we will suggest one.
2. Describe your property clearly
An accurate quote starts with the property itself. The number of bedrooms is a starting point, but it is not the whole picture: a compact flat and a large house with the same number of bedrooms can need very different amounts of work.
For a house cleaning quote in Woking, have these details ready:
- your postcode and the date you would like us to start
- whether it is a house, flat or maisonette
- the number of bedrooms, bathrooms and other rooms
- whether the property is lived in, furnished or empty
- its current condition, and any areas that need extra attention
- parking, stairs, keys and any other access arrangements
Office cleaning quotes
Every office is different, so an office cleaning quote in Woking is worked out for your business rather than taken from a table. Tell us the size of the office, the number of rooms and workspaces, the toilets and kitchen areas, how often you need cleaning, and whether we should clean during the day or after hours. Let us know how we will get in, and which areas need attention on every visit.
3. Explain your cleaning priorities
List the tasks that matter most to you. Do you mainly want the kitchen and bathrooms kept on top of, or detailed work such as skirting boards, the inside of cupboards and interior windows? Ask which tasks are included, which are extras, and what can realistically be done in the time booked.
If you are asking about a deep clean, mention grease, limescale, built-up dust and any rooms that have not been cleaned for a while. These are what take the time. Our deep clean includes the inside of the oven and fridge.
Ask for carpet cleaning or the inside of the oven by name. They are separate services, and in an end of tenancy clean the carpets and the inside of the oven, fridge and cupboards are extras, so do not assume a general clean includes them.
4. Check what the quote includes
Ask whether the work is charged by the hour or as a price for the whole job. For regular domestic cleaning the price is usually hourly, and the rate depends on how often we visit: weekly visits cost less per hour than occasional ones. If the price is hourly, ask:
- how many hours the job should take
- whether the estimate counts one cleaner or more, since two cleaners for two hours is four hours of work
- what the minimum charge is: every visit we make has a minimum call-out charge, which you pay even if the clean finishes sooner
For end of tenancy cleaning we publish guide prices by number of bedrooms. They are estimates for a property of average size and condition, not fixed prices, and five bedrooms or more gets a personalised quote. Our prices page shows our current rates and guide prices, and our article on what affects the cost of a cleaner explains why two similar homes can be quoted differently.
Finally, ask how extra work is agreed. If a job needs more than we agreed, we talk to you before we carry on, so you can decide whether to add time or keep to the original plan.
5. Talk about products and surfaces
Tell us about natural stone, wooden floors and any surfaces with their own care instructions, so we know before the visit. If a surface came with care instructions from its maker, share them with us.
Ask what the cleaners bring. We bring our own cleaning products and equipment at no extra cost. If you would rather we used particular products, or your own, just say.
6. Compare quotes fairly
When you compare quotes, give each company the same property details, the same list of tasks and the same frequency. A lower hourly rate can hide fewer hours or fewer tasks, so compare what each quote includes, not just the headline figure. Our post on how cleaning quotes are worked out explains how your answers turn into an estimate of hours.
For an office, check that each quote covers the same rooms, the same cleaning times and the same arrangements for keys.
Price is only part of the decision. Look at how quickly and clearly each company answers you, and read their recent reviews.
7. Confirm and book
Before you book, check the date, what will be cleaned, how long it should take, how you will pay and how you can cancel. Our terms and conditions give you 14 days from the day we confirm your booking to cancel it, and set out the charges for later changes and cancellations. They also let us revise the estimate on the day if the property or your requirements are not as described, so if anything changes before the visit, such as the access or the condition of the property, let us know and the plan will still fit. For keys, pets and the other practical questions, see questions to ask before booking a cleaner.
